I am exploring generative possibilities for long slow music form.nI can kind of trace different influences for this:n”Ambient”, Eno, Arvo, Nyman, Mertens, Feldman. Generative techniques, Greek modal instrumental and vocal laments,nand similar contemplative music traditions.nDunno where that leads but I am very interested in ndarker, sorrowful shades of this continuum.nAlso, I am not interested in “finished” pieces per se, so I am going to freely iterate these.nThis one is a four-voice piece. It’s using only 5 minor scale degrees, but not a pentatonic. nIt’s Supercollider and uses a dark, noisy pad exclusively.
